An experienced commercial/tech lawyer is required for a contract of 12 months with a leading accountancy practice in the City. The role will sit within the client facing legal team and will start in November to cover a period of maternity leave.
The role will involve working with the business on intricate and complex commercial and technology related legal matters as well as assessing and understanding how business risks can be managed and/or alleviated.
You can expect to get involved in large scale deals, third party sales deals and advisory work involving NDAs, terms of business, supply chain agreements, sales cycles as well as risk management/mitigation strategies. A particular focus of the role will be to adopt a solution orientated and risk-based approach and embed it within the wider team.
The successful individual will be joining an established legal team and will be responsible for the management of 4 to 5 lawyers
Successful individuals are likely to:
- Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales or from another commonwealth jurisdiction
- Possess experience in handling commercial/technology legal matters
- Hold an interest in risk management and mitigation
- Be able to take legal advice and translate it into a commercial framework
- Have gained their experience from leading law firms, the big 4, or professional services companies in the technology sector.
