Legal Counsel

A Cambridge-based global research and life sciences organisation is seeking a commercial lawyer to join the team as Legal Counsel. This In-House Counsel position is offered full-time on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of your new role

Reporting to the Senior Counsel, the Legal Counsel will work as part of a small, tight-knit team to support the wider business with:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements including Licences, Sales Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements and Distribution Agreements;
• Providing ad hoc legal advice to senior management;
• Intellectual Property and GDPR matters; and
• Implementing new processes for the wider business, working with external counsel where required.

Candidate profile

To be considered for this Legal Counsel role you will be a Commercial Lawyer who demonstrates:

• 2-5 years of PQE
• Good commercial contracts experience
• Strong commercial acumen
• The ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
