Our client is one of Europe's leading Family Offices, managing the estates, wealth and affairs of high net worth families.

With offices across the world and continued growth and expansion, they are seeking a private client lawyer to act as the subject matter expert on Wills and Probate within the London office. As part of a wider legal team, you will advise a range of families on their wills and probate matters and advise on the offshore implications in respect to tax liabilities through the managing their wills.

This is a very different prospect for a private client lawyer looking to move away from the rigours of private practice. Whilst you will still be advising clients directly, you will also form part of a global business and consequently this role sits between an in house lawyer and a private client lawyer. There is significant scope to progress your career and take on larger portfolios. Additionally you may wish to use this role as a way of introducing clients to the business and take a share of the revenue generated.

Candidate requirements:

  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' PQE within a private client practice. Candidates with more or less experience are equally asked to apply.
  • You should have experience of drafting Wills and managing probate matters for private clients
  • You should be commercial and know the law in relation to tax both onshore and offshore and how that affects potential liabilities for dependants
  • Candidates who are looking for a different environment to private practice are very much sought after.

NOTE - our client will consider those immediately available as well as those on a notice period. Therefore if you are a contractor as well as a permanent candidate, please apply using the link.
