INDUSTRIAL DISEASE SOLICITOR 1-3 PQE - MANCHESTER

Industrial Disease Solicitor - One of our leading defendant insurance practices is currently looking to hire an industrial disease solicitor with litigated defendant experience. The role will also involve handling your own litigated caseload of NIHL files as well as assisting the Partner on other high value cases such as asbestosis / mesothelioma matters. Strong NQs will be considered, but they should be able to demonstrate proven litigated industrial disease experience.

  • Reports to: Partner (Head of Department)
  • Previous Experience: litigated disease experience gained preferably from a defendant firm. Candidates will be expected to be capable of handling their own litigated caseload including HAVS and NIHL as well as assisting on higher-value claims.

LITIGATED WORK

The majority of the work undertaken by industrial disease solicitors within the team is litigated. The successful candidate will be encouraged to build their own caseload of NIHL work. However, the role also offers the opportunity to gain exposure to more complex work including mesothelioma / asbestosis-related work. It also offers the chance to ascend to a supervisory capacity where you would be responsible for a small team of more junior fee earners.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

The client is looking for candidates who have ideally cut their teeth in a reputable defendant practice and already have a thorough understanding and appreciation of how to run a litigated caseload.
