Multi track RTA and Fast track EL/PL - Manchester - 1-4 PQE+ £40,000 - £45,000
RTA SOLICITOR MULTI TRACK - MANCHESTER
Personal Injury Solicitor Manchester - This role offers a varied litigated caseload of fast track EL/PL and multi track RTA. Candidates should have strong academics and be able to demonstrate EL/PL experience as they will need to hit the ground running with this element of the work. Multi track RTA experience would be useful. However, it is by no means crucial. Ideally, the team wishes to recruit around the 2-4 PQE mark. However, they will consider less experienced candidates including talented NQs should they have the right approach and acumen.
KEY FACTS
- Job Title: Associate
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
- Reports to: Partner
- Expertise: Strong academic background and proven fast track EL/PL experience. Any multi track RTA experience would be useful, but is not absolutely necessary.
A MIX OF RTA AND EL/PL WORK
As an Associate within the team, you will work directly with a number of key clients of the firm. All the cases whether fast track or multi track are classed as 'technical' files. That is, they contain an added element of complexity and that is why they are handled by this particular team.
Ideally, the department is looking for solicitors who can hit the ground running and are capable of running with a given file. It should be stressed all fee earners benefit from a high degree of support, though the hiring manager does want to attract a confident associate, ideally from a defendant background with sufficient technical proficiency to enable them to pick up a busy caseload.
GENUINE CLIENT CONTACT
One of the key elements of the role is that it offers genuine client contact. Therefore, all applicants need to be comfortable building rapport and relationships. The client base is a mix of household named insurers as well as corporates, which include large national businesses.
Candidates need to be able to deliver cogent, practical advice in a confident manner whether on the phone or in person. With that in mind, the team is looking for people who not only have the right experience, but who come across in the right way.
CAREER PROGRESSION
This is a continually growing team and new opportunities are appearing constantly. There are also opportunities to progress to higher-value complex work including catastrophic injury.
