This is an opportunity for a lawyer to join a leading Birmingham practice in a management role with genuine influence on the business and control on strategic decisions.
Client Details
A leading Birmingham private practice.
Description
Are you currently a fee earner within a law firm and thinking that you want to move away from a traditional practice role? Are you still ambitious and looking to work hard to progress your career but not sure that you want to climb the ladder to a typical Partnership role?
We are working with a law firm who are looking to bring somebody in to take a lead on the delivery of large projects within the business. The role is a more strategic position and you would be responsible for:
- Looking after a large team of legal assistants and team leaders - helping them deliver projects effectively on time
- Dealing with senior fee-earners within the business to understand the projects and what is required from the team
- Helping price the projects
- Leading meetings and delivering feedback
- Dealing with any issues with projects and looking to resolve any such issues
- Projects would cut across a range of practice areas from large real estate projects to international litigation matters
- Recruitment
This role would suit somebody who wants to be in a position where they can influence a team and influence senior stakeholders within a business.
This is a very different and hands on opportunity for a lawyer. It would not suit a private practice lawyer who is looking to take a step back and perhaps find a role that will guarantee a better work/life balance.
There are genuine progression opportunities within the role.
What the role can offer you:
- Progression
- A senior position of responsibility with many points of direct and indirect reporting
- The chance to liaise with senior stakeholders on a day to day basis
- Working alongside the head of the team who will train and mentor you from the outset
- A varied role across different areas of law
Profile
This would suit an experienced lawyer, who can demonstrate some experience of project management and the ability to influence stakeholders (either clients or internally) and the lawyer is likely to come from either a commercial litigation or transactional background.
Job Offer
A senior position within a large law firm, with progression and genuine opportunities to influence.
