This leading Top 100 law firm based in Leeds is looking to strengthen its Health and Social Care Department with the hire of a new solicitor. 
 
The Health & Social Care law team provides advice and support to public sector and independent health and social care organisations; commissioners and providers. They are a team of just under 20, operating nationwide. 
 
The team's services include management of complex litigation in the Court of Protection, human rights, inquests, mental health, safeguarding, patient safety, serious incident response, complaints and disputes, HSE/CQC enforcement, challenges to decision-making and general clinical practice.
 
This health & social care law solicitor role offers the opportunity to be a part of a team with a diverse and rich practice area that’s intellectually stimulating and hugely rewarding. The role will involve advising clients on a range of health and social care issues, both contentious and non-contentious. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Court of Protection
  • Inquests
  • mental Health Act matters
  • Mental Capacity Act matters
  • Safeguarding Investigations
  • Judicial Review challenges
  • Information Governance
  • Complaints
  • Regulator Compliance Action
  • Internal Incident Investigation
  • External Investigations
  • First and Upper Tier Tribunals
  • Policy Review and Training.
Duties will include; managing your own varied caseload, advocacy at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals, active involvement in client care and BD and more. 
 
It is essential you have experience in health and social care law, advocacy experience, understanding of mental health and mental capacity law, inquests and Court of Protection.
