My Client is a full service, top tier, multi-site Legal 200 law firm, with a high profile Private Client team and established Court of Protection sub department.
This is a newly created role for a specialist senior court of protection solicitor, you will take the lead of this sub team, dealing with complex matters, and provide supervision and mentoring.
The firm is a panel deputy for the Office of the Public Guardian and the Court of Protection, they deal with complex issues relating to mental capacity, financial abuse, powers of attorney, advance decisions and Court of Protection applications.
The ideal cadidate will have at least 4 years' PQE advising in this area of law; applying for appointed deputies, or act as a deputy, offer practical advice, make decisions relating to property, finances and the welfare of the person who lacks mental capacity, prepare LPA's, set up trusts, act in contentious situations and act as an expert witness for litigation lawyers.
