This is an opportunity for an experienced residential conveyancer to have a stand alone fee earning position in the branch office of a high street firm which has many locations across the East Midlands.
Working with secretarial support and with a full caseload to inherit, you will be motivated by being the "go-to" person for the department and increasing the profile of the firm.
You will also have the chance to grow the team should there be further requirements in the future - although initially your only main task will be to ensure the clients are being looked after and the work is being serviced efficiently - rather than focusing too much on having to bill a certain amount.
You will have the benefit of a case management system and supportive colleagues with the firm. The branch receives a lot of walk-in business, so you must be approachable, ready to react and prioritise the work that comes in as the firm thrives on word of mouth business.
Ideally, you will have upwards of 3 years' PQE or equivalent with a track record in handling traditional sales and purchase work. The firm will also consider licenced conveyancers, very experienced paralegals and legal executives who have been able to sign off their own work.
Salary is negotiable depending upon experience. You must, however, want to work in a close-knit family firm where personality and friendliness are important factors.
Applications from relocators will be considered, however, you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the area.
