3-5 years’ pqe Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution lawyer – UK/Commonwealth qualified – Hong Kong-based – No Chinese language requirements.

The offshore litigation sector is booming in Hong Kong and this prestigious global law firm is at the forefront. The team specialises in advising clients from China and the wider Asian markets on predominantly BVI and Cayman Islands disputes, spanning the entire range from mainstream commercial litigation and shareholder disputes through to contentious insolvency, banking litigation and financial services disputes (contentious trusts and funds litigation for example). It is varied, fast-paced and technically complex work. You will find it every bit as challenging as that at any major onshore firm.

You will be joining a high-quality team that is stacked with experience from top City and offshore law firms. The team is a nice size; big enough to pack a punch, but small enough to ensure that you will get plenty of hands-on experience and a level of responsibility beyond that in the typical international firm. It is a client facing role and will appeal to someone who is excited by the opportunity to begin developing their own set of relationships, a crucial step at this level if you aspire to Partnership in the future.

You are likely to have three to five years’ relevant experience from a good City or equivalent law firm and you will be comfortable working with demanding clients on high-value cross border disputes. In return, you will benefit from a highly competitive salary and excellent prospects for career progression in this rapidly growing market.
