• Previous experience: Ideally candidates should have anything from 0-3 PQE from a respected regional or boutique corporate practice. They should demonstrate real enthusiasm for their work and the willingness to pitch in where necessary.

The team attracts work from a mixture of larger national clients as well as the thriving SME market and operate across several key sectors, giving them a more focused approach to their clients' needs. The team has a very solid client base across the North and beyond and its lawyers are recognised as key players in the market.

The recent growth of the team, coupled with the desire to strengthen the expertise within the department, has resulted in the need for a junior associate solicitor with around 0-3 years PQE or more.

It should be highlighted that this particular piece of recruitment comes as the firm embarks on a major drive to make the corporate team one of the leading departments in the region. A BROAD RANGE OF CLIENTS

The majority of the team's workload comes from mainstream corporate instructions. The department advises on an impressively high deal volume of mergers and acquisitions, often acting for the buyer. In particular, they are currently advising a number of especially acquisitive management teams in a variety of sectors, such as finance, retail and construction.

As well as M&A work, the department also has a solid reputation in private equity and advises some of the key players in the Northern market.
