Legal Counsel - Commerical Contracts

A rarely available opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join a global organisation based in the West Midlands. This leading company is looking for a Legal Counsel to support the business in identifying and managing legal and regulatory risk.

About the Role

As a member of the in-house legal team, you will provide support on a wide variety of Commercial Contracts

You will be:

*Providing commercially minded advice to business stakeholders,

*Drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts, including transactional, financing, IT, licensing, professional services and supply

*Drafting and reviewing board minutes, resolutions and related documents

*Drafting, reviewing and amending contracts, privacy notices and consents

*Conducting legal research to provide guidance on contract compliance and regulatory requirements

*Ensuring that the appropriate frameworks are in place to manage risk appropriately

About the Person

*A UK Qualified Solicitor, with relevant experience in commercial contract work. You will ideally have circa 4 years PQE.

*Solid commercial and corporate background.

*Collaborative and proactive team player with a willingness to share expertise.

*Strong organisational skills - ability to plan and deliver work to deadline, prioritise workload accordingly and work flexibly to meet business needs.

*Strong technical legal skills, including ability to draft and negotiate legal documentation to the highest standard.

*Understanding of the requirements of legal risk management in a financial institution.
