My client, a Financial Services Association, is looking to recruit a new Head of Legal to join its London based business to replace the outgoing incumbant who is retiring in June 2020.

Description
- To lead external representation of the industry's interests to regulators, other policy makers and stakeholders on a range of legal, conduct risk, practice, compliance and related issues.
- To identify, design and execute guidance to members on a broad range of legal, conduct risk, practice, compliance and related issues.
- To instigate, chair and participate at legal, conduct risk and/or compliance related seminars and events.
- To manage the work of the Legal team.
- To assist the Chief Executive on a range of related issues.
Profile
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with the following skill set:
- Senior management experience within financial services, regulators or other relevant environments.
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding the retail financial services sector
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and diplomatic skills to meet the responsibilities representing members's interests.
- Ability to build strong relationships to become a trusted adviser to stakeholders.
- Ability to see wider, strategic issues and to meet strict deadlines.
Job Offer
A six figure basic salary + benefits + discretionary bonus.
