Paralegal

Kennedys, a global law firm with 37 offices across the world, is looking for a Paralegal to join our Liability Division in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to work on a high quality caseload for a variety of clients on employers’ & public liability and disease claims involving complex liability issues, contractual issues and multiple defendants.

As the team grows, there will be opportunities for the successful Paralegal to develop their career further and to handle more valuable and complex work.

Our Birmingham Personal Injury team is headed up by Partner Ian Davies who is an expert in  motor  insurance  claims. In terms of EL / PL / Disease James Shrimpton leads this section of the team along with Philippa Craven, who leads the disease section.

Responsibilities of your new role

The successful Paralegal will work on public liability and disease claims for a range of clients including:

• Insurers, corporate self-insured’s, liability adjusters and brokers

Type of Cases:

• Employers’ and Public liability
• Product liability
• General liability
• Occupational disease

Required Experience

It is essential that Paralegal applicants demonstrate:

• Previous litigation experience
• Ability to apply a commercial approach to deliver economic solutions
• To work well under supervision
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop technical skills and experience.
• To be proactive and take initiative
