Law firm in Manchester is keen to recruit a Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor/ Barrister of 5 or more years’ PQE/ Call. The team advises and acts on behalf of health and social care organisations, medical defence organisations and their members and individuals involved in criminal, coronial, regulatory (in particular GMC/ MPTS) investigations and proceedings and related civil proceedings involving all aspects of healthcare and clinical practice. This opportunity will enable the successful applicant to develop their skills in this varied, challenging and high profile area of law. The postholder will advise and represent healthcare professionals at interview under caution and in criminal proceedings across England & wales. They will also be required to represent clients at MPT hearings in Manchester. The successful candidate must have experience of criminal investigations. Experience and knowledge of the following areas is also desirable: • Healthcare Regulatory Proceedings • previous experience in NHSE investigations and medical negligence claims.
