Commercial law firm in Manchester is seeking to recruit two Real Estate Finance lawyers (one of 0 to 1 years’ PQE and the other of 2 or more years’ PQE). The Property Finance department is growing and so these two appointments will be additions to the team. The team covers quite a broad range of work and areas of focus include: • Investment Property Finance • Development Finance • Refinancing • Acquisitions • Fund financing • Joint venture funding • Mezzanine funding • Mortgage portfolio sales/acquisitions.
The successful candidate for the 0 to 1 year role can expect to assist in the structuring of transactions and draft and negotiate security documents and related finance and corporate documents. You will also support the Associates and Partners to project manage transactions for both lenders and borrowers. As for the role requiring a solicitor of 2 or more years’ PQE, you will also assist in the structuring of transactions, as well as drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements and related finance and corporate documents. Furthermore, depending on the level of PQE of the successful candidate, it is likely that you will take the lead and project manage on some transactions for both lenders and borrowers. You may also be asked to mentor junior associates, trainees and paralegals. All members of the team, whatever the level of PQE are expected to be involved in business development and marketing activities. If you are already qualified, you will already specialise in Real Estate Finance law or currently undertake a Banking/ Finance role which includes at least some Real Estate Finance matters. If you are newly-qualified, you will either have undertaken a Real Estate Finance seat or Banking seat or some other Finance-related seat.
