EMEA focused employment role for a large international engineering company that operates across several sectors. Reporting to the Legal Director, you will undertake principally employment work and assist in company secretarial matters including:: advising the company on a broad range of employment law matters, including day-to-day support, claims and TUPE;
(ii) providing company secretarial advice and support across all business units in relation to the company's main operating entity in the UK, plus other entities in the EMEA region.
Core requirements for the role are: Experience in the above areas, strong technical ability, teamwork, and the willingness to work under pressure in a global company. Experience in anti-corruption compliance, commercial contracting (including subcontracts and procurement), commercial property and/or data protection will also be advantageous.
Employment
The role will involve advising the company's HR team and management across all business units within the EMEA region on day-to-day employment lifecycle issues, including employment contracts and polices, IR35, employee benefits, disputes and grievances and GDPR. In addition, the successful candidate will advise and support the company on any employment claims and on TUPE issues arising out of bidding for and executing contracts.
Company Secretarial
In addition to our main UK operating entity, we have approximately 60 other corporate entities in the EMEA region, in locations including the UK, Western Europe, Poland, Russia, Central Asia and MENA. The successful candidate will be responsible for compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements within the EMEA region, for the efficient administration of corporate matters and the upkeep of local and international legal/company records. This will involve frequent liaison with the company secretarial team in the US, plus colleagues in the EMEA finance, accounting and tax teams as well as the Board of Directors of the relevant entities.
