Family Solicitor

A highly regarded national practice is looking for a Family Solicitor to join their York based practice on a permanent, full time basis.

The Team

This growing Family Team is described as 'first rate' (Legal 500, 2017) and 'brilliant' by the (Legal 500, 2018). The Head of Department is highly talented and personable, with considerable experience of representing clients in demanding, senior level positions including business owners, corporate executives, professional footballers and TV personalities.

About the Role

In joining this thriving department, the Family Solicitor will take on a high quality caseload of matters which are likely to include:

• Children Act Work (Privately funded)
• High level financial disputes
• Divorce
• Financial remedy proceedings
• Injunctions
• Cohabitee disputes and Cohabitee/unmarried disputes & ToLATA

The successful candidate will also be expected to get involved in business development of the firm and take responsibility for departmental targets and budget setting (dependent on experience).

Candidate Requirements

The firm is looking for a Family Lawyer who can demonstrate:

• Experience in the areas of Family Law listed above
• The ability to contribute to business development and seek to proactively work with the Department Head, Marketing Manager and colleagues to generate new business
• Good teamwork skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A good attention to detail
