A small Data Protection department of a highly regarded insurance company is looking to hire.

Implementation of, and compliance with, the GDPR requirements are paramount to this very regulated organisation and they are looking to take on someone who is experienced and has passion for the discipline. Working closely with the DPO and as part as a small but visible team, you will be required to primarily support the UK businesses, but with some possibility of also working with the European business, whilst being part of the larger US led international organisation.

You will assist with the ongoing creation of data protection policies and procedures, implement change as required and ensure compliance with the GDPR Act. You will train and advise employees of their obligations and act as point of contact for both employees and clients. You will monitor, conduct reviews and compile reports as well as advise on DP impact assessments. This is an operational data protection role rather than advisory and would suit a lawyer or non-lawyer provided you are prepared to be hands on, whilst also able to answer tricky technical questions. We are looking for someone who has strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills but who can also think creatively, come up with solutions and recommendations, and facilitate what can sometimes be difficult change.
