Are you a Mid-Level/Senior Associate looking to further progress your career? A leading global law firm is actively searching for a promising associate to join their Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects group.

What will the role entail?

* You Will act as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise.

* You will work closely with the construction and projects partners and other lawyers in the group on a wide range of complex transactions.

* You will be involved in drafting and reviewing documentation, advising clients on current market positions in the projects sector and negotiating points with other parties.

* You will be involved in business development activities in relation to the infrastructure projects

* You will provide supervision to trainees, paralegals and more junior associates.

What do you need?

* Experience gained within a top tier firm is required.

* It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background with excellent written communication and drafting skills.

* The successful candidate must have outstanding technical skills in construction and projects, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.

* Suitable candidates will at least 4 years post qualification experience (or equivalent experience).

The team:

* The practice advises on procurement of domestic and international construction and engineering projects.

* They also advise on suitable procurement routes, risk allocation and drafting and negotiation of contract documentation, including construction and engineering contracts, consultants' appointment and ancillary documentation such as bonds, guarantees and warranties.

* The practice has worked on projects acting for developers, funders, contractors and service providers in a range of sectors including mining, renewable and conventional energy, process plant, defence, transport and other social and economic infrastructure.
