An exciting opportunity for an Intellectual Property Paralegal has arisen at a Legal 500 firm in Leeds. This role is offered on a permanent, full time contract.

Role Description

The IP Paralegal will be joining a growing intellectual property team which handles the full range of commercial, contentious and advisory work - including patent, copyright, design and trade mark infringement litigation, brand creation and trade mark registration.

In this Paralegal role, you will:

• Assist with simple trade mark clearance searches and draft trade mark specifications
• File trade mark applications and deal with registration formalities
• Assist with the preparation by clients of design drawings and filing design applications
• Support the team on general intellectual property matters
• Conduct research and liaising with clients

Candidate Profile

The firm is looking for a Paralegal with:

• A minimum of 6 months’ experience as a Paralegal – ideally within IP, though this is not essential
• Commercial acumen
• The ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, manage priorities effectively and work under the pressure of deadlines
• Thoroughness in all aspects of work, and great care and attention to detail

Salary and Benefits

On offer for this Paralegal role:

• £18,000 - £23,000 per annum
