Principal Planning Lawyer required to join a social enterprise firm on a permanent basis. Our client prides itself on serving a sound legal service to public sector and not to profit clients.
The successful Principal Planning Lawyer will lead an expanding and passionate planning and highways team and have direct management of lawyers and paralegals. You will have a caseload of more complex planning matters which can include development agreements and highways matters. The work will be both at District and County level so you will enjoy great variety and have exposure to key projects and development work within the team.
You will have a strong background in planning and highways from either a public or private practice background. The client is happy to consider those who are experienced and do not have previous management experience who are looking to develop and take the next step up in their career. You will have strong leadership and negotiation skills to be able to assist the team and drive matters forward to successful completion. There are some excellent development and regeneration across the Counties of the public sector clients you will be working with and a chance to assist on the HS2 project.
You will be an enthusiastic individual who will be strategic and provide a pragmatic and proactive approach to challenges when they arise whilst motivating the team.
If you think you are up for a challenging but rewarding role within this organisation then please do get in touch. Our client is happy to consider candidates for either a 4 or 5 day working week. You must be available to travel to meetings in other offices on the odd occasion. Flexible working hours are available.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively, should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying, please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
