Banking / Corporate / Commercial Paralegal (Team Manager) - This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal or legal executive with strong transactional experience in the areas of commercial, corporate or banking law. The client will also consider those with contentious experience such as commercial litigation. Ideally, they are looking for someone with excellent project management and leadership qualities, though it should be stressed the role does offer outstanding training and development which will help the successful candidate develop these qualities.

- Previous Experience: Our client is ideally looking for a candidate with a strong transactional background in areas such as corporate, commercial or banking. Candidates with strong commercial litigation experience will also be considered.
NATURE OF THE WORK / GENERAL STRUCTURE OF TEAM
The range of fee earning work covered by the team is vast and varied. However, this is a management role and the successful applicant will be expected to lead and motivate a team of around 12 to 15 junior paralegals / fee earners who support on various deals undertaken by the firm.
Typically, the tasks given to more junior paralegals within the department range from assisting on due diligence exercises, to document review as well as supporting on large pieces of commercial litigation. As a Manager of such a team, you will have very limited fee earning responsibilities. Your role will focus more on managing the team in terms of productivity and capacity and conducting and necessary reviews and setting relevant KPIs in terms of career progression.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Candidates should have good general management and project management skills. Our client is looking for bright, adaptable candidates, whose strength is getting the best out of others, whether managing teams to a tight deadline or nurturing or encouraging staff. They are looking for those with a legal background in corporate, commercial, banking or commercial litigation, but who are perhaps looking for a new challenge.
