This Legal 500 firm is well-established, with multiple offices in the West/South Yorkshire region.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious construction lawyer to join a busy department in Sheffield working with clients on a local, regional and national basis.

The successful construction solicitor will manage a full and varied caseload, covering a full remit of construction matters and possess the opportunity to build the Construction Division within the firm's Sheffield office.

The role will include acting on behalf of a variety of clients from high net-worth to developers, property investors, banks and occupiers through to contractors, sub-contractors and consultants. The position is largely non-contentious so a strong knowledge of this work is essential.

The construction solicitor should ideally have proven experience of working for developers, investors, lenders, contractors and consultants preferably in the following sectors: housing, retail, commercial education, renewable and conventional energy, real estate and retirement homes.

All applicants should have excellent technical ability and experience of handling a broad range of work, preferably having a minimum of 4-5 years' PQE (or having additional experience gained from working as a paralegal/during their training contract).

The role will involve managing a busy caseload and participating in the firm’s marketing activities.

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to manage and run deals, therefore, you should have a good track record of success including business development.

The firm is flexible with regards to the location of the post and would be comfortable with the successfully appointed candidate working on a permanent basis out of any of it's Yorkshire offices, although travel to the other offices will be required.
