A well-known, government-owned bank based in London is search of an Assistant Company Secretary to provide proactive and effective Company Secretarial support to the bank's Group and subsidiary boards and their committees.

Description

As Assistant Company Secretary, key responsibilities will include managing the board and committee meeting processes - working with management to set agendas and ensure timely publication of materials. You will attend and minute certain board and committee meetings and develop a close working relationship with executives, boards, chairs and committee members as first point of contact. You will be responsible for ensuring maintenance of statutory records for relevant entities, supporting corporate transactions, drafting board resolutions and assisting with the production and approval of the Annual Report and Accounts.

Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced Assistant Company Secretary with experience of working in a similar role in the financial services. They will have experience of interacting with senior board members and a solid grasp of the requirements of the Companies Act. They will also have a solid understanding of Corporate Governance best practice and experience of applying this understanding pragmatically in support of boards and committees.
