The successful candidate will provide support to a busy transactions team of experienced lawyers. It is a close-knit team, everyone is hard working and dedicated but not afraid to ask for or offer support if required. You will take responsibility for your own caseload of landlord and tenant matters and asset management transactions such as licences to alter and assign and deeds of easements and variations and novations of contracts relating to the existing portfolio of properties managed. In addition, the role will involve providing support to the rest of the transactions team in relation to the acquisition of new properties with tasks such as reviewing confidentiality agreements and assisting with due diligence and post-completion matters.
You will be an experienced professional and have at least 5 years' experience working as a real estate paralegal (some experience of corporate/commercial work would be desirable but is not essential). This really is an excellent opportunity; it is an exciting time for the business and you will join the first team to deliver public market equity directly to the UK social housing sector. The team have developed strong sector relationships and continue to expand their portfolio, whilst ensuring to maintain its strong social impact which underpins its investment strategy. Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external law firms and a diverse range of stakeholders are key to this role. You will need to have excellent academics (educated to degree level or similar - LLB, GDL, LPC etc.), be diligent and able to work autonomously, robust and resilient with excellent interpersonal skills, smart and presentable and pay great attention to detail.
Salary in the region of £50,000 plus a competitive benefits package.
