Catastrophic Injury Lead Lawyer, Newcastle, Multi Track Experience, £50,000 - £65,000


This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with recognised market leaders in catastrophic injury work within this firms Complex Injury Claims Team in Newcastle City Centre. The team deals with non-delegated high value multi track and catastrophic injury claims including dealing with multi-million pound brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and fatal claim.

Experience of indemnity, liability, complex medical issues and the ability to assimilate and deal with complex schedules of loss and damage is required. The role also includes the need to interface with sophisticated senior claims handlers in long-standing insurance clients. In this role you will also be responsible for enhancing and developing the profile of the firm.

As well as meeting and building relationships will all key claims personnel at various locations throughout the UK your other duties will include assisting in the provision of training both internally and to key insurance clients, managing a mixed caseload of EL/PL & RTA multi track cases consisting of claims typically valued in excess of half a million pounds, progress each file from the receipt of papers from the Insurer advising clients on all aspects of claim handling to include advice on indemnity, liability and quantum issues and claims resolution strategy, attend court in person or by telephone, attend trials, settlement conferences etc as required as well as supervisory responsibilities for junior members of the team.
