THE ROLE
This paralegal role sits within the firm’s property department and works on development projects for private developers as well as housing organisations. This role is primarily dealing with the sales aspect of these projects but may provide exposure of aspects of the acquisition and development processes too. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail as they will eventually be dealing with a caseload of their own in this area.
The central duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Undertaking of legal research
- Managing a mixed caseload of shared ownership and outright property sales
- Assisting in matters dealing with staircasing and residential disposals and acquisitions
- Assisting fee earners in the team with some administrative duties including – property searches, registrations, post-completion work and dealing with requisitions
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
- Must hold a law degree or an appropriate conversion (eg. GDL)
- Completed or currently studying the LPC or CILEX
- Must have experience in a similar role
- Ideally will have experience with - completing SDLT forms, dealing with disposals and acquisitions of residential properties, reporting and drafting statutory agreements, staircasing, right to buy and right to acquire work
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 depending on experience and qualifications
