My client is a well known, multinational Financial Services organisation whose EMEA HQ is in London. They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Employment Lawyer who will be responsible for all employment law issues across the EMEA region.
Client Details
A multinational Financial Services organisation whose EMEA HQ is in London
Description
As the Senior Employment Lawyer you will report directly into the EMEA GC in London. Amongst other things your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing and advising the organisation in relation to employment law related matters, compliance and risks in line with the businesses strategy and risk appetite across the EMEA.
- Developing employment policies and procedures across EMEA to drive people management in line with business vision and strategy. Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date, relevant and fair, driving the best outcomes for employees.
- Provide commercial employment legal advice to key stakeholders in relation to employee relations ("ER") and employment related matters in the UK and across the EMEA region.
- Enhancing and developing the organisation's knowledge of employment law and ER matters.
Profile
The successful candidate will need to be a UK qualified lawyer from a top tier law firm possibly with some experience from a comparative in-house organisation (although this is not an essential requirement).
Due to the level of this position within the organisation my client envisages that you will have around 10 years PQE (although this is only a guide).
As the Senior Employment Lawyer you will need to have excellent knowledge of UK (and preferably EU) employment law and strong expertise and experience in managing complex ER cases, drafting of employment documentation and policies/procedures, performance management and restructuring.
You will also need proven influencing skills, able to deal with multiple stakeholders at the most senior level in the business.
Job Offer
This is an incredibly exciting opportunity offering a six figure basic salary + excellent benefits package + generous discretionary bonus scheme.
