We're looking for a Serious Injury Solicitor/Legal Executive to join the complex injury and serious injury team of one of the Uk's Largest law firm. This is a great time to join an expanding and secure team in these worrying times.
About the Role
The role will be handling a mixed caseload of serious injury files with an emphasis on RTA cases up to a value of £50k
Daily duties will include:
- Dealing with cases of complexity, causation arguments, and denials of liability with minimal supervision.
- Drafting Court proceedings, dealing with allocation questionnaires, adhering to court directions and timescales, preparing relevant documents for disclosure, submitting evidence and instructing Counsel/other appropriate experts as required.
- Assess liability and quantum to include reviewing medical reports and researching and obtaining relevant case law.
- Drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable awards for compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity, and other general damages.
About You
We require everyone to have experience in a similar personal injury role, managing your own caseload of multi-track cases and have a good understanding of the CPR and litigation processes. You must also be an excellent negotiator with strong communication skills. To succeed in this role you will have a customer centric approach to your work and be committed to achieving the right outcome for each of our clients.
Ideally you'll be a qualified solicitor or CILEx but consideration will be given to those whose experience allows them to claim Grade C charge rates. Acting as a pivotal point of contact for the clients, experts and counsel you will need to have an excellent understanding of each of the cases. We also welcome applications form Trainee Solicitors who are due to qualify this year or NQs if you can demonstrate a level of Multi Track competency.
