Role: Information Centre Manager

Location: Liverpool

Hours: Full time, Perm

A global full-service law firm are looking for you to join their Liverpool office.

You will be working as part of a team providing seamless access to knowledge and information resources, advice, expertise, training, and tailored research and analysis to support the firm's business strategy and goals. You will run the day to day operations and be supervising up to 4 Team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide research and market intelligence to the firm
  • Provide detailed profiles to support fee earners and the extended team
  • Work to deadlines
  • Trend reporting, proactive analysis and assessment of research topics
  • Strategic client SWOT trending opportunities
  • Business analytic tracking for sectors
  • Manage & develop the team
  • Develop and maintain delivery methods and procedures
  • Responsibility for recruitment and performance reviews
  • Monitor holidays and workflow of Business Intelligence team
  • Make recommendations to Head of Departments
  • Provide regular team highlight / activity reporting to head of KBIC
  • Support the delivery of enhancing client data
  • Manage, under Head of Department, KBIC practice area and business services budgets, reporting, planning and organising expenditure
  • Provide clear budget summaries with commentary for new financial year and reforecast
  • Analyse and make recommendations on international recharge for international licences
  • Oversee procurement of hard copy materials including books
  • Maintain relationships with information vendors

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with partners and other senior stakeholders across the Firm
  • Work experience within a professional firm
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise
  • Ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines
  • Experience of business and information systems / databases
  • Understanding of different cultures and ways of working
