Description

As a Senior Commercial Lawyer you will report into the Head of Legal and be responsible for:

• Negotiation of commercial contracts (including information technology, real estate and travel supplier contracts), consultancy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, supplier arrangements, terms of reference etc.
• Managing the outsourcing of commercially significant matters/contracts or specialised work to external counsel and presentation of advice/conclusions internally.
• End to end contract management (i. from procurement to document storage), ensuring on-boarding of new suppliers in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Advising the business on data protection and privacy issues, supporting the Data Protection Officer and high data handling teams.
• Addressing intellectual property, trademark and copyright issues and infringements and dealing with trademark agents in terms of the maintenance and renewal of trademarks responding to ad hoc issues/potential infringements.

Profile

The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified lawyer with at least five year's post-qualification experience. You will have excellent experience working on a range of commercial agreements and contracts as well as exposure to data protection issues. Any experience of working on legal matters within developing markets would be beneficial but is not essential.
