If you are currently developing your career as a specialist contentious IP lawyer, perhaps either in the City or working as part of a specialist IP team at a large regional practice, this may interest you and could be the next step and your chance to take your career to a whole new level !

Our client is a heavyweight practice with an enviable national profile, and this is a new role to be based here in their HQ Bristol offices.

The role offers a combination of top quality work and household name clients with the opportunity to work in a professional, expert environment, with a structured career development framework that will allow you to progress quickly and reach your full potential, including access to partnership for the right individual. The firm carries the Investors in People Gold Standard which speaks for itself !

Their specialist IP team offers advice on all aspects of intellectual property, including ownership and protection, exploitation and enforcement (both litigation and registry based proceedings), and the client list is quite something to see. The various legal directories are in no doubt that this is a team that offers comprehensive commercial and contentious IP advice to rival the leading City and international firms.

As the extra vital piece of the jigsaw joining the existing team you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with clients to deliver pragmatic, commercial advice on often complex intellectual property disputes and pre-launch clearance advice. You will have proven experience in intellectual property dispute resolution across a broad range of business sectors, particularly in any of the media, retail, sports and leisure, luxury goods and food and drink sectors. The team undertake a considerable amount of registry work, both in the UK and the EU, so they are also looking for someone who has strong experience in registry proceedings such as oppositions, invalidity and cancellation proceedings and appeals.

This is an opportunity to join a very successful team, and will suit someone who has perhaps at least 3-4yrs or more strong existing experience. The team has an established track record of acting in a range of successful cases and have acted for clients in the High Court, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, UK and European trade mark offices, Company Names Tribunal, in domain name disputes and at all stages of appeals. The range and quality of the work just doesn't get any better within a private practice firm here in the UK.

All enquiries are treated in strict confidence.
