As the market regains stability, we are anticipating an increase in demand for strong Planning lawyers for contract and interim opportunities with our public sector clients UK wide

As a Planning Solicitor you will provide the efficient and cost effective delivery of legal services within a culture of customer focus, continuous improvement, service excellence and employee development and on top of this you will deliver specialist legal advice and advocacy for all matters relating to planning, highways and to some degree assets of community value and there is the opportunity to cover licensing cases. You will conduct proceedings, public inquires, appeals and judicial reviews before the Planning Inspectorate, in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Magistrates Courts, Crown Courts and Tribunals and to appear as an advocate as appropriate.

The Planning Solicitor will be experienced with at least 3 years' PQE, demonstrable ability to effectively communicate complex legal issues to Members and officers and to provide cogent legal advice accordingly. You will have extensive knowledge of planning and highways legislation and extensive experience in dealing, drafting, negotiating and completing S106 agreements and unilateral undertakings and incidental highway agreements, without supervision. The ideal Planning Solicitor will show initiative, drive and determination to get the job done with an aptitude to hit the ground running.
