Trading & Markets lawyer

A global financial services company is looking for a banking lawyer to join its team in London reporting directly to the Head of Legal.

In this role you will be joining the EMEA Markets team which covers 7 distinct areas across the business giving you excellent commercial exposure to various business lines advising on product specific issues.  You will be working closely with colleagues in different jurisdictions including Brussels, America and APAC region.

Your responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice and assistance on new products and product development;
• Initial point of contact/support for designated product lines, including attendance at business acceptance committee and trustee committee meetings;
• Structuring of collateral management transactions, the preparation, maintenance and negotiation of all contract templates;
• Advising on legal aspects of developing new products and the implementation of strategic and regulatory change across Clearance and Collateral Management in EMEA;
• Consideration of proposed amendments to existing deal documents/structures.

This role is best suited to a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience within financial services.  Experience in trading documents, prime brokerage, stock lending, custody and collateral management would all be highly beneficial.
