Principal Lawyer to join the Enforcement team within a large, diverse London based Local Authority.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal professional to be part of a vibrant council, dealing with a range of exciting development and high value projects. The role will be for an initial 3 months, with the likelihood of exntension thereafter.

The successful Lawyer will be a confident and motivated individual, who will be be expected to:

- Lead a small team of lawyers dealing with a variety of enforcement matters, including some high profile cases

- Demonstrate recent and significant local authority experience of providing advice and conducting litigation across a range of regulatory functions including but not limited to crime and anti-social behaviour, environmental health, licensing, and enforcement under the Housing Act 2004

- You will also have recent experience of conducting advocacy, advising at Licensing Committee and providing legal comments on committee reports relating to enforcement matters

You must have previous experience of leading a team and dealing with enforcement matters, particularly licensing.

This is a full time role, with flexible working and a competitive hourly rate on offer. The council is in a great location, easily accessible to public transport.
