Junior Commercial Lawyer, Insurance

A busy legal department is looking to hire a junior lawyer who is interested in developing a career in-house. Working for a top brand in insurance you will be part of a high calibre, collegiate team and will have plenty of experienced people to learn from. There will be a huge focus on your development and the team are keen to share knowledge and help you expand your skills. The focus of your work will be commercial deals and partnership projects. This will include supplier contracts, intercompany agreements, and distribution agreements.

The successful applicant will be around the 1-3 PQE level with good quality training either in a law firm or in-house.  Some experience of insurance would be a positive but not essential presuming your CV demonstrates you can handle commercial contracts. You could have a background in corporate, commercial or insurance law. Personality will be really important for this role as they continue to carefully build the team with people who really work well together.

This position is only suitable for applicants looking for a permanent position. However, the initial employment will be on a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to becoming permanent at the end of the term. There is no presenteeism culture, and although it will be an option to return to the office it is expected that this person will work primarily from home, with some time in the office and so it is essential that you are able to work well autonomously.
