The Role

The firm is looking for an entrepreneurial Planning Partner to join their buzzing central Leeds office.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the Residential Development & Property department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team.

The department have an interesting and varied client base to include private sector developers, land and property owners, residential developers, energy & infrastructure providers and commercial developers as well as local authorities.

Your caseload will be broad and cover a wise spectrum of high value work including planning obligations, highways law, judicial reviews, planning enforcement investigations and auditing planning applications.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda.

Requirements

  • You will be a Planning Lawyer with at least 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • A transferable client base or regional contacts is highly advantageous
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
  • You will have good experience of dealing with large settlements
  • You will have strong business development capabilities
  • Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
