Our client is one of the largest law firms in the Caribbean with an established platform in the BVI and Cayman Islands, as well as further afield in Europe and Asia. They have strong relationships with the leading onshore firms in London and New York and as a result are instructed on some of the largest and most complex transactions in the Caribbean.
The firm's banking & finance practice has gone from strength to strength in recent years and has benefitted from strategic investment across all offices. The team engages on the full spectrum of finance transactions, from bilateral / syndicated lending through to leverage financing / refinancing. They have a number of clients who expect to be doing new deals over the next 12+ months and so are looking for an experienced banking lawyer to help meet this increased demand.
In order to be considered for this role you will:
- Be qualified as a solicitor or barrister in England & Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada (excluding Quebec)
- Have at least 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Have worked at a top 30 UK or international law firm
- Have demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following areas: investment grade lending; bilateral / syndicated loans; leverage finance; acquisition finance; fund finance; asset finance
