Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor to join this successful regional practice and work with an existing client base that have been tied to the firm for decades. You will need to have experience of dealing with agricultural & commercial property matters and will be comfortable handling residential property matters on occasion. Ideally you will have gained at least 8 Years' PQE to be considered for this role.
The main duties of this role will involve dealing with local clients with agricultural & commercial properties and so you will be expected to manage a range of commercial & high value property transactions. Work will include acquisitions & disposals, option agreements, commercial leases, secured lending, TPO's, septic tank and commercial lease matters. Agricultural issues you will come across will consist of sale of farmland & property, development, surrender & re-grants and residential development work.
There is an outgoing Partner who is looking to retire in during the next year, so this recruitment is part of a succession plan to bring in new blood and refresh the Partnership. Whilst you will not initially be made Partner, this is something that will be looked at once you have settled in the role and are establishing relationships with new & existing clients.
This office is easily accessible from Keswick, Carlisle, Workington & Whitehaven however you will need to be able to drive as you will be meeting clients on a regular basis. The office currently has 9 staff (x4 Fee Earner, x5 Support Staff) in place and so you will be involved with their management and development.
Salary will be based on experience and PQE level with an added bonus & benefits scheme in place. Work/life balance is a key factor for this firm and so you will be based in a traditional office environment with a friendly & supportive team.
