Are you a litigation paralegal or fee earner looking for a new challenge? This reputed and forward thinking firm is looking for you!
This international law firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to join their established professional indemnity team. The majority of this team are based in Taunton, but since Covid19 have been largely working from home.
They have very well established relationships with insurers across the UK and internationally, with new projects coming in thick and fast!
Within this defendant professional indemnity role you will act for these insurers, defending claims against solicitors, barristers, accountants, engineers and architects. In addition your caseload will include defending over-valuation claims, advising on coverage and policy issues, Before the Event and After The Event (BTE and ATE) liability claims, defending catastrophic losses on behalf of international businesses and defending D&O and employment claims against charities, schools and trusts.
These claims are often high value, complicated, and very interesting!
To apply for this role you will ideally need at least two years' experience as a paralegal or fee earner. Professional indemnity experience would be ideal, however those with a litigation and/or a defendant insurance background are encouraged to apply. Any BTE or ATE claims experience is ideal but not essential.
In this role you will gain significant experience in alternative dispute resolution including mediation and adjudication. You will have used a case management system and will have the support of a very established team of experienced solicitors and partners, who will guide and mentor you with further training throughout your career.
