Paralegal - Legal Technology
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a top tier international firm for a paralegal with a real interest in technology.
The Firm
The firm is a large international firm with offices all around the globe and with a strong presence in both litigation and transactional work.
The Role
The paralegal will join the litigation team and assist with the use of technology to support the litigation cases through all stages of the matter.
You will be the liaison between the IT team and the fee earners. You’ll work with the associates and partners to understand the case and look at the evidence required for review. You’ll then work with the IT team to upload all the documents into a review platform (Relativity or Ringtail) and work out the keywords so the platform can begin to learn what the relevant documents are. As the case progresses you’ll continue to work with the fee earners, providing training and trouble shooting any issues.
The Requirements
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate both legal and computing/technology knowledge. Perhaps you studied law and completed a coding course. Or perhaps you studied computing first and went on to do the GDL. Experience in a litigation support analyst / litigation support assistant role would be an advantage.
This is a growing area and therefore there is an excellent career path. This paralegal - legal technology role is for someone seeking a career in legal technology, and would not be suitable for someone looking for a training contract.
