Insurance Senior Associate - Cayman Islands

Our client is one of the preeminent offshore law firms, with a strong platform across all major offshore jurisdictions as well as key financial centres around the world. It holds a dominant position in the Cayman Islands and its partners are advise on many of the largest transactions to touch the jurisdiction.

The partners would like to identify a mid-level lawyer to join them and focus on providing advice to the firm's insurance / reinsurance clients. The role will be relatively broad in scope and would include advising on insurance / reinsurance contracts, portfolio transfers, establishment of intermediaries / subsidiaries, reinsurance arrangements, and regulatory matters. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Admitted as a solicitor in the UK;
• Have reached a minimum of 5 years PQE working at a well-regarded law firm;
• Have demonstrable expertise in the insurance sector, including substantial prior experience working on some / all of the areas outlined above; and
• Be comfortable maintaining / building client relationships and able to work with relative autonomy.
