Senior Banking Litigator

We are recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a growing challenger bank based in Central London.  Working closely with the General Counsel and another senior lawyer you will be solely responsible for the management of the varied litigation caseload at this specialist lender.  Examples of matters you will deal with include fraud, insurance claims, contentious regulatory, financial crime and FOS complaints. The  role will suit someone wanting to broaden their experience as there will also be the opportunity to also work on commercial contracts and possibly data protection, and any experience in this area would be welcome although is not required.

The ideal candidate will be a bright, proactive lawyer with 8 years plus experience some of which has been gained in-house, ideally within the lending industry. This is a great opportunity for a senior lawyer to push themselves, take ownership over the litigation remit, and expand their skillset towards that of a GC.
