Your new role
A new in-house competition lawyer position, as part of an expansion of the business' competition expertise. Reporting into a senior manager in a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will support internal teams across the business in managing business risk in relation to huge infrastructure, engineering and utilities projects. You will use your deep competition and regulatory law knowledge to allow the business to reach its strategic objectives in compliance with the law. Key issues you will advise on include M&A, procurement, SMP regulations and investigations, encompassing regular liaison with regulators.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK-qualified competition lawyer with excellent grasp of interpreting and advising on competition and regulatory matters for the benefit of key non-legal stakeholders. You will have gained excellent academics, strong training and at least 4+ PQE (as a guide only), with in-house experience an added bonus. Any experience in regulated sectors including telecoms would be advantageous, as would infrastructure exposure. You will be happy to work in a collaborative and accessible business where there is no hiding, where you show your worth through data supported arguments.
