The Role

The team cover the breadth of the financial services sector in particular: banking, payments, funds, retail and wholesale investments, insurers, and market infrastructure providers.

Within these sectors, the team has an increasing focus on FinTech clients, spanning the full scope of the sub-sectors set out above. The Financial Services Regulatory team's reputation in the market has traditionally been stronger on the contentious side, with the practice having been involved in some of the highest profile contentious regulatory matters of the last decade.

However, the majority of the work for the Financial Services Regulatory Associate will predominantly consist of non-contentious advisory and transactional work.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Services Regulatory Associate Advising clients on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on regulatory authorisations, industry documentation, consumer finance, financial crime, compliance investigation, regulatory enforcement and financial litigation. Developing relationships with clients including gaining a good knowledge of the client's businesses, economic drivers, market and sector requirements in order to ensure advice is relevant and commercial.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years PQE from a UK national, City of Transatlantic firm
  • Excellent academic record
