The Opportunity:

-Unique in-house role for a professional indemnity solicitor or Legal Executive with 3-6PQE
- This is an excellent opportunity if you have experience in insurance and risk management, allowing you to utilise these complimentary skill sets. The role is an influential, complex and visible role within the organisation, where you'll need to work closely with the Director of Risk & Insurance, the wider Finance Team and the General Counsel Team to support with the provision of insurance
- You'll make sure that there is adequate insurance cover, on the best-available terms, for the best available price. You will also provide technical support to the business on insurance related matters
- You will scope, arrange and maintain insurance protection on best available terms
- Liaise with Brokers and Insurers and key stakeholders across the business.
- You will work with Director of Risk to report to business on cover arrangements, premiums and recoveries
- You will manage the liability claims notification process for non-PI claims and monitoring the effectiveness of insurers' claims handling service
- Drafting of Board Papers and Associated Recommendations/Guides as required

Requirements -
- you will be a qualified Professional Indemnity Lawyer (3-6 years PQE) or equivalent relevant experience (e. ACII)
- You will have a robust SRA/FCA/Regulatory understanding
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of legal procedures-particularly policy wordings and contract law
- Excellent drafting skills, ability to analyse complex problems and structure issues for detailed resolution
- Understanding of Risk Management and ability to persuade others to follow best practice
- Ability to network and proactively build relationships across a range of internal departments
- Successful track record in handling insurance negotiations between Client, Broker and Insurers
- Strong commitment to deliver results and make a meaningful contribution in a team environment
