This opportunity is to join a highly ranked Construction team based in the City of London office to work on Contentious matters, though for the right candidate there will be the opportunity to handle some non-contentious work as well.

The Role

This firm is looking for a Contentious Construction Solicitor to join its flourishing City of London office.

The team has recently worked on some of the most significant development and infrastructure projects nationally.
You will work alongside a highly experienced Partner and team, who is ranked in the Legal 500 as a leader in their field.

This role will focus on Contentious work (although some non-contentious knowledge/experience would be beneficial).
The client base will include; Developers, Major corporations, Funders, Contractors, Sub-contractors, Construction consultants and Local authorities.

Your caseload will lean towards Contentious matters, but you will also have the opportunity (if desired) deal with some Non-Contentious matters. All of this makes for a much more exciting role. You will advise on every aspect of construction contracts, amending development agreements and agreements for lease, building contracts, extensions of time and procurement and insurance issues.

This position comes with excellent career progression prospects - many of the firm's Partners are homegrown and is always an option for the right candidates.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Construction Solicitor with 3-6 years PQE
  • You will be experienced in Contentious matters (additional non-contentious experience would be an advantage, but if you have not got this please still apply as the firm have indicated flexibility on this)
  • First-Class interpersonal skills
  • You will have good technical knowledge
  • A meticulous eye for detail is essential
  • Salary is negotiable depending on experience
