Our client is looking for an experienced commercial property lawyer to manage a large and varied case load, including providing property support on corporate transactional work, particularly M&A. The role focuses on high quality legal delivery, working to tight deadlines and serving a broad range of highly valued clients across the full range of size, complexity and value.
You’ll be joining a team built around being different, our philosophy of being proactive, understanding our clients’ commercial aims and providing clear advice and guidance. Our client advises on a range of businesses from local start-ups to multinational businesses with 1000s of businesses in their portfolios. Their property team is also an integral part of our active Corporate M&A team.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years’ experience advising clients on transactional property matters. Our client would expect you to be comfortable taking the lead in delivering advice to clients and building relationships.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

You’ll be leading on client matters including drafting and advising on key documents, such as leases, contracts for lease and contracts on sale and purchase.

You’ll be leading on the property aspects of corporate transactions including drafting and advising clients on SPA property warranties and disclosures, as well as property documents.

You’ll be happy to conduct negotiations with third parties on behalf of clients.

You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining client and referrer relationships with an interest in business development. A client following would be an added bonus but not essential.
Location – Maidstone based, but currently a mix of office and home working. If you require a flexible way of working our client is open to discuss this.
