Corporate Counsel

A market leader in the energy sector based in Berkshire is looking for a Corporate Lawyer to join their team on a 6 months basis. This role will be done on a remote basis.
The purpose of the role is to be part of a small team of lawyers providing Corporate and M&A legal support across the business.
Responsibilities include:
Provide legal and transaction support to Group M&A team and business unit teams, including pre- and post- transaction work
Draft and negotiate legal M&A and investment-related documentation reflective of the Group's requirements
Provide corporate legal support to the Treasury, Finance and Pensions teams, including advising on credit support, debt finance and capital markets matters, with support from external counsel
Advise on group structuring, reorganizations and intercompany transactions
Instruct and manage external counsel and other advisers when required on a project-by-project basis
Engage and work closely with other teams within Legal as necessary in order to ensure delivery of seamless and co-ordinated Legal M&A advice (e. Competition, Employment and IP teams)

The successful candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor with strong experience with corporate/M&A from an in-house background. Knowledge/experience of UK Listing regime and MAR would be desirable
